For more than a decade Dr. Dawn has worked with children and teens with congenital heart disease and their families as a pediatric neuropsychologist and participated in multicenter research studying neurodevelopmental outcomes in CHD.
Along the way, she heard the same thing from families again and again: It can be difficult to find practical information about development and emotional wellbeing from someone who truly understands CHD.
She created Parenting Kids with CHD to help bridge that gap—translating what we know from research and clinical experience into information parents can actually use.
She knows that you know your child and believes that her role is to help you better understand the science and navigate what comes next.
