2021 Capital Fundraiser

We want 2022 to be our best year yet, but to do that we need to raise some money to cover our yearly costs.

To do that, we've decided to borrow an old fund raising idea, pledge drives, combined with the modern crowdfunding model. That means we don't just view you as a donor or a pledge, but instead we consider you as a part of the charity. Joining with us to help make good on our plans to save children like Micah, and you'll get some cool stuff in the process.

How This Works

Pledge Levels | Much like other crowd funding sites, there are a number of backer levels, which you can find at the bottom of this page. Each level comes with a different gift or gifts and the option to add-on lower tier gifts to your donation/pledge.

Gifts | The gifts are all pictured below in the Gifts sections, each pledge donation page has a picture of the gifts as well.

Add-Ons | After you've chosen your Pledge Level you can also add on other pledge level gifts from lower pledge levels.
Example:  Let's say you choose the $5 Pledge level, that comes with a Window Decal gift, but you also want a random sticker, you can add on the sticker when you go to make your pledge. But you cannot add on a Jar Opener gift, since that gift is from a higher pledge level.

Shipping | Shipping will get calculated and billed to you after the campaign is over. The reason for this is two fold. We don't know what shipping will cost when the campaign has ended and we don't know what the weight of the final products will be until we have them.

Fulfillment | After the campaign ends we tally all the stuff we need to order and give that to our supplier. Right now we are estimating about a month between the end of the campaign and shipping out items, but this could change depending on how much we have to order. The ultimate goal will be to get everything out well before Christmas.

Initial Goal | Below, you'll see our initial goal and if we reach that, we'll consider ourselves fully funded for 2021.

Stretch Goals | But below that, we have some Stretch Goals. Each Stretch Goal means we can do more next year as a charity, and it also means a small extra gift for everyone who has donated to the campaign, cause we love ya'll.

Tracker Updates | The tracker does not update automatically. I wish I could figure that one out but the way this is organized on the back end it is not possible right now. It will be updated manually in the evenings, typically around 8pm. It may update more often than that, it depends on how often we are able to check the donations and get into the site to update it. Either way, don't be discouraged, it'll update and we'll get to see your amazing contribution.

Initial Goal - MET!

With $1,000.00 we can pay for our expenses: website hosting, P.O. Box, marketing materials, and other normal expenses. Reaching this level allows us to keep the doors open and lets us focus our other fundraising efforts on research.

Now we're Cooking!

Now we're cooking! Literally! We made this level! Which gives us the funds necessary to host a cook off fund raiser. We're thinking BBQ or Chili. Micah is a big fan of Ribs, so BBQ might be the way to go.

Since we reached this level, the first 47 people who pledged to the campaign at or above a level of $5 will get: A Coaster. The coaster is made of cardboard and features the Micah Mason Foundation logo in Blue.

Maybe direct giving is something you cannot afford right now. We understand, believe me, we really do. However there are a few ways you can still help us out even if you don't give directly.

Who provided these super cool designs and gifts?

The Foundation's Logo was designed by Nathan Weston, one of our board members.

The four designs on the stickers, and most of the other items, were designed and provided by Valorie Armour, who is also our supplier for the majority of the gifts.

The design on the magnet was provided by Micki Hefley, of Oddball Ink, who is a grandparent of an HLHS kiddo.

The 3-D object is being provided by Perry Grenon, a father of an HLHS kiddo.

Stretch Goals

Here's where the rubber really hits the road. Each of these stretch goals represents a way we are trying to build and grow the charity or a way we are trying to support or ensure fund raising efforts. From new equipment and software to help the charity do its work, to starter funds required to run a variety of fundraisers next year.

Each Stretch Goal also comes with a reward for our supporters. At a certain level of giving you'll be entitled to getting a gift once we reach the Stretch Goal.

Tech Upgrade - Unlocked!

at $2,000.00

Right now the Foundation doesn't have any technology of it's own. No computer, no phone, no tablet, no nothing. All we do is done with board member stuff (and 2 out of 3 board members have woefully out of date computers as well). This level allows us to get some dedicate tools to help us raise funds for research.

If we reach this level, the first 50 people who pledge to the campaign at or above a level of $5 will get: another Sticker. But not one of the ones you get in the pledge levels, this sticker shows the Micah Mason Foundation Logo in Purple.

Software Upgrade - MET!

at $3,000.00

Similar to our last stretch goal, this goal will allow us to do our work better and easier. Financial software will free up our board and volunteers to focus on fund raising. Website automation software will help us tremendously to spend less time editing our website and more time fundraising. Finally, creative software will help us to make better marketing materials.

Cookoff for the Foundation - MET!
